Envision

MLSE

Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, part of Air Canada Centre, hired the Cineplex/Envision team to provide consultation for their investment in digital signage.

Envision developed options for the placement, configuration and design that would integrate the screen into the environment and support two mutual priorities:

  • Customer experience
  • Advertiser appeal

One feature created by the Envision design team was the main entrance 55-screen digital sculpture:

  • This follows a concave and then a convex form, with an unexpected screen alignment, all held together on a transitioning LED-lit metal skin.
  • The unique geometry provides a powerful palette for the content designers, giving them flexibility and depth of field.

For instance, using the dimensional depth of the sculpture:

  • Three different supersized players can each be projected, and the appearance is one of separateness.
  • The screen can then flash to a powerful, continuous, overall motion image, and the experience is increasingly dimensional and powerful.

customer comment:
“Envision was instrumental in helping us physically realize the spectacular Gate One Digital Sculpture in the ACC by delivering incredible design, then moving their solution through industrial design and engineering. It was a pleasure to work with the professional and dedicated designers and project managers at Envision.

The entire team at Envision inspire confidence and make challenging custom solutions seem easy, delivering a differentiated customer experience on time and on budget. We were very satisfied with the results."
